I had a really great experience today. I have known that my car has needed repair for quite some time but, as a single woman, have been to a few shops and not had the work done as I felt that some mechanics have been extremely dishonest with me in the past. I really, really needed an inspection sticker and I had a few lights on. I made an appointment over the phone and immediately got a great vibe. I was very pleased that a rental car would be available for the day of my repair for only $15. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly and given the keys to the awesome rental! The rental car was clean and easy to drive - they actually gave me another Toyota which made me really comfortable. I was dreading the phone call that would tell me what was wrong and how much it would cost. That call came just a couple of hours after drop off from Paul, who was very kind and compassionate and understood my concerns and where I was coming from. He explained everything that was wrong, the cost, and possibilities of future repairs I might need. Unlike other shops I have been to, he did not just expect/assume that I would do anything and asked permission for each of the repairs he mentioned. And then it was done! I came to pick up my car and was greeted by name when I walked in! I am thrilled for my passed inspection (I am cursed in this regard usually). I went to pay and the cost was exactly as was quoted to me; I was impressed to find that the quoted cost actually included the rental car, which I was not expecting at all. Overall, I am very happy with the outcome (I spent $500 less than I thought I would have to) and the timeliness and friendliness of the service. I don't take the best care of my car nor do I know a whole lot about them and I did not feel judged or taken advantage of at all. It made me smile to look at the sticker that they put up to remind me of when my next oil change should be, because they wrote 'Thank You!' on it. It was a great little touch! Thank you guys so much!
